Ask the Class of 2015 to Register to Vote

Blog / Last Updated:

Memorial Day is in the rear-view mirror, our days are still getting longer, and millions of young Americans are starting a new chapter in their lives. Graduation is a major milestone after which many young adults move and embark upon new challenges.

Congratulate the graduates you know on their achievement and encourage them to register to vote with our eCard. The League’s eCard directs recipients to VOTE411.org, our “one-stop-shop” for election information where they can easily start the process of becoming active participants in our democracy.

Did you know that the average person living in the U.S. moves roughly 12 times in their lifetime, with young people moving at the highest rates? That is why it is so important to remind the graduates you know to update their voter registration.

The League of Women Voters has been committed to ensuring our government represents the depth and diversity of American communities for 95 years. We do so by empowering millions of voters every year, including by registering voters year-round and focusing on those who just turned 18, became citizens, moved homes, changed their name, or need to update their registration for any other reason.

The League stands ready to help newly registered voters become active and engaged members of their communities. Help us reach even more potential voters – send the graduates you know our eCard to congratulate them on their recent achievement and to remind them to register to vote or update their voter registration.

With your help, we’ll make sure our youngest voters have a voice on the issues that are most important to them.
