Celebrating Our Voting and Elections Work in 2015

Blog / Last Updated:

We have a day for giving thanks. We have Black Friday and Cyber Monday two-for-one deals. And now we have Giving Tuesday for giving back to the community! #GivingTuesday is propelled by those who believe that passion and commitment can make a difference.

Thank you for your generous support of the League of Women Voters all year long. You helped make 2015 a record year for voters.

From the tip of Maine to the coast of California, Leagues have been working to register voters and ensure our elections are free, fair and accessible to all voters.

We have put together a brief slide show to highlight some of the most exciting victories you helped make possible.

As you watch the slide show, I hope you will feel a sense of pride and accomplishment in knowing that you are helping to ensure that it is the voice of the people—not deep-pocketed donors—that is heard on Election Day.

Please take a moment right now to see what you helped make possible!

League supporters across the country do everything in their power to see that we’re Making Democracy Work®, but the fight requires the help of all of our supporters. From fighting to protect voting rights, to curbing the influx of big money into politics and leading efforts to prevent climate change, the League is committed to informing and engaging Americans around the major public policy issues that impact our daily lives. On #GivingTuesday, December 1st, we ask that you think of the League as you reflect on the need to strengthen our great democracy through increased political participation.
