JOB TITLE:                                    Membership/Customer Associate

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is a key member of the Operations team, responsible for serving as the first point of contact for the organization and for responding to member and public inquiries by providing exceptional customer service and member communications via multiple channels.  This position is also responsible for fundamental administrative functions, meeting planning and implementation, as well as supporting the development and implementation of volunteer resources for the national office. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Member/Public Communications

  • Receive, respond to, and direct phone calls that come into LWV
  • Assess member needs and provide assistance and information
  • Maintain member and customer information, correspondence and other relevant information  within the CRM database as required
  • Communicate member issues and needs to appropriate team members
  • Monitors incoming email to LWVUS general mailbox and responds in a timely manner 
  • Prepares reports, presentations, memorandums, proposals, and correspondence as required
  • Work with Communications team in supporting multi-channel internal member engagement communications and back end website support
  • Provide input to management regarding member suggestions
  • Additional membership relationship functions as requested

Administrative Support

  • Key member of Operations team and provides support to departmental activities
  • Supports Operations Manager in managing and coordinating overall administrative activities for LWVUS national office
  • Work with COO to develop plan and associated policies for volunteer program at LWVUS, to support office operations; manage volunteers and implementation of said program

Reception

  • Opens office at 9:00am and closes office at 5:00pm
  • Manages the reception area to ensure effective telephone and mail communications both internally and externally to maintain professional image
  • screens all visitors and receives all packages
  • Receives all incoming mail and distributes

Meetings

  • Supports the coordination of all staff meetings and related activities
  • Supports the development and administration of key membership meetings

 Other

  • Assists with special projects and performs other duties as assigned

 REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Office365 and NGO Connect/SalesForce database experience preferred
  • Prior experience with non-profits and/or membership groups preferred
