Cost Sharing Agreement
This agreement sets forth the terms and conditions by which the League of Women Voters of the United States (LWVUS) and the League of Women Voters Education Fund will share certain costs, including, but not limited to, salaries, benefits, other direct cost and overhead. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the District of Columbia. The terms of this agreement may not be amended except by a writing properly executed by both parties. This agreement shall become effective on April 1, 2003.
During the term of this agreement, and subject to the terms and conditions stated herein, LWVUS and LWWEF will share certain personnel and other costs to provide program, managerial, fund-raising and administrative support services, including the following:
- Program assistance
- Communication and press relations
- Executive oversight and monitoring
- Audit and tax coordination
- Human resource management
- Financial and management reporting
- Management information systems and computer support
- Occupancy cost
Both organizations shall concurrently employ the shared personnel. The shared employees are subject to the control of both organizations. The shared employees shall render such services conscientiously and shall devote their best efforts and abilities thereto at such times during the term hereof, and in such manger as LWVUS and LWWEF shall mutually agree. The LWVUS shall serve as the common paymaster for all shared employees.
