Peggy Hill joined the League of Women Voters in Texas 40 years ago. Her family had just moved to Texas, and she was looking to find a group of intelligent women, engaged and learning about many issues in which she believed. Over the years, Peggy has held many League positions from president to unit leader, held many portfolios, lead legislative action and conducted studies. However, education issues became Peggy’s focus. With a doctorate in curriculum and instruction and over 40 years of teaching experience, Peggy was elected to the LWVUS Board of Directors, where she co-chaired the national LWV education study.
