Melissa Currence has been a League member since 1997, when she began attending college. Today, she is a member and a former President of the Cincinnati Area League of Women Voters. Melissa received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Xavier University and earned her Master’s in Journalism and Communication from Ohio State University.
Melissa is currently the Interactive Media Project Manager for The Greater Cincinnati Foundation and has previous work experience in the fields of journalism and public relations. She has worked in the nonprofit sector for over ten years now, having been a member of several nonprofit boards, including a community development corporation and a chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. Melissa is also a co-chair of the LWVUS Young People Task Force (YPTF).
