The Mission of the LWV Education Fund

The League of Women Voters Education Fund works to encourage the active and informed participation of citizens in government and to increase understanding of major public policy issues.

This video PSA was developed for the League by Discovery Communications as part of their Creating Change program.

After a sixteen year period in which there were no public presidential debates, the League of Women Voters Education Fund (LWVEF) sponsored three presidential debates in 1976.

During the post World War II period, the League helped lead the effort to establish the United Nations and to ensure U.S. participation.
