AffordableCare Act

ACA’s transformational reforms provide universal health care for all Americans. Children will no longer be denied coverage due to pre-existing conditions, young adults can stay on their parents’ health plans as dependents until age 26, Medicare participants will have annual check-ups and mammograms, and many uninsured Americans will now have health care coverage.
  • Last night's vote by the U.S. House of Representatives to repeal the Affordable Care Act, the comprehensive health care law passed by Congress in 2010, was a step backwards in dealing with America's health care crisis.

  • Nearly one year ago, on Christmas Eve, health care reform overcame Senate roadblocks and headed toward final enactment by the Congress, with the President’s signature coming in March.
