This week LWVUS, the League of Women Voters of Arizona and the League of Women Voters of Kansas jointly sought to intervene in the case Kobach v. Election Assistance Commission (EAC), which involves the requirements to provide documentary proof-of-citizenship on the national mail-in voter registration application form.
Nationwide, more than 5,500 races and ballot initiatives will be decided this election season. These races are about jobs, economic security, the environment, health care and more. We all need to weigh in.
The League is dedicated to ensuring that all eligible voters – particularly those from traditionally underrepresented or underserved communities, including first-time voters, non-college youth, new citizens, minorities, the elderly and low-income Americans – have the opportunity and the information to exercise their right to vote.
