Monday, May 20, marks the 20th anniversary of the signing of the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA), legislation that streamlined the voter registration process for federal elections.
Last week, the U.S. Census Bureau came out with its much-anticipated data regarding voter participation in Election 2012. See the data set here.
When I first came to the League of Women Voters over three years ago, I was excited to begin working for an organization full of passionate individuals who help everyone participate in our democracy.
I had no idea that I would find exactly that and so much more.
