The High Impact Visibility award rewards Leagues that effectively use a broad range of communications platforms to reach voters, potential members and partners, the media and the public on priority national and local programs.
This year, League volunteers will be out in force in over 25 communities across 15 states as part of our Youth Voter Registration program, with the goal of holding voter registration events in more than 200 high schools and community/vocational schools.

Abbott, a case out of Texas, has the potential to upset the criteria for drawing state and local legislative districts so that they would be determined by the total number of voters instead of total population. The League submitted an amicus brief in Evenwel that supports the current practice of drawing district lines.

Over 26 states have, or will soon have, online voter registration. The proposed online voter registration bills in Florida and Texas would provide thousands of citizens the ability to easily register to take part in our democracy.
I worked with the Election Protection Hotline to help many voters rectify the issues they were facing when attempting to exercise their right to vote. But it also illuminated how far we have to go to have fair, free and accessible elections for all eligible citizens.
