What's in a Name? Help Us Name the Members Site!

We have taken the first steps toward a new, dynamic members’ website resource built just for League members and Leaders! The new and improved site – it deserves a good name! Unlike Shakespeare, we don’t think this particular rose will smell as sweet with just any name. So, come share your ideas in the “What’s in a Name?” game.
  • Free Promotion of LWV Events For Your Community: (e.g. Green Activities, Voter Registration, Issue Forums, Others) And Find More Volunteers!

With Earth Day just around the corner (April 22nd), many Leagues are gearing up to hold Community Clean Ups or other events and activity focus on protecting and preserving our Earth. To coincide with this important day, we are pleased to announce that AmericanTowns.com is offering the League of Women Voters the ability to promote these and other events for FREE!
  • Outreach Activities around Historic Milestones for Women

While League has always been more than a “women’s organization,” our founding and our history make it only natural that we should acknowledge and mark certain milestones for women. This document contains a list of suggested activities that Leagues could implement anytime, but might be planned around one of these milestones as the “hook” to spark wider interest.
  • Conduct Voter Registration at Wrestling Events!

The League is once again teaming up with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) to encourage voter registration and participation among young and first-time voters. Leagues are invited to conduct voter registration at live wrestling events across the country. Check the calendar below for events scheduled near you, and contact Maggie Duncan (Mduncan@lwv.org) if you would like to be connected to the organizers of a scheduled event near you. The calendar will be updated as additional dates become available.
