The League strives to ensure that government at every level works as effectively and fairly as possible. This involves continual attention to issues of transparency, a strong and diverse judiciary, appropriate government oversight, and funding.
It’s hard to believe, but it’s almost time to flip the calendar to 2012. In the coming year, we will be active on many fronts, but with special emphasis on providing the public with all the information they need to navigate the election system, learn the issues, and vote for the candidates of their choice.
The League of Women Voters of South Carolina celebrates Constitution Day with the announcement that the successful statewide education campaign, “Quest for a More Diverse Judiciary,” begun in September 2010, will continue for an additional year.
