In 1993, the League of Women Voters adopted a position calling for a basic level of quality health care at an affordable cost being available to all U.S. residents.
The below message from President MacNamara was sent today to League Leaders nationwide:
It is National Women’s Health Week– and groups around the nation are taking a moment to recognize the importance of women’s health, and the impact the Affordable Care Act has had in advancing and improving women’s health.
Today is the second anniversary of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) so it seems appropriate that we step back and take stock of the law and its impact thus far.
