Caroline Segal is the League of Women Voters of the United States' summer 2024 policy intern. She supports the advocacy team in conducting policy research, tracking legislation, and supporting state and local affiliates.  

Caroline is a rising senior at Middlebury College in Vermont. She is working towards a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and is pursuing minors in French and Sociology. She is also currently writing a Senior Thesis on the political engagement of colleges and universities. Outside of the classroom, Caroline competes as a Division III athlete on the Varsity Field Hockey team. She also serves as a board member of Middlebury’s nonpartisan civic engagement organization, MiddVotes, through which she increases access to information about the democratic process and empowers her peers to vote.  

Prior to joining the League, Caroline worked in the public sector, where she focused on the clean energy transition and environmental justice. 

Caroline is originally from the Chicago suburbs. She is a big foodie, likes to find fun ways to stay active, and enjoys traveling.
