Legal Intern Grayson Lanza
Legal Intern

Born and raised in Florida, Grayson is deeply committed to advancing racial, climate, and economic justice through his academic and professional endeavors. Grayson is currently a third-year law student at the Florida A&M University (FAMU) College of Law, where he has focused on work that addresses systemic inequities and promotes community empowerment. Residing in Orlando, Florida, he is actively involved in local initiatives that aim to create more equitable and sustainable communities.

Grayson earned a BA (2017) and an MA (2019) in political science from the University of Central Florida. His academic achievements, coupled with his hands-on experience, have shaped his understanding of political systems, policies, and their impacts on marginalized communities, further fueling his desire to pursue a career in law. Grayson has previously interned with an Orlando criminal defense attorney, as an extern with the Southern Poverty Law Center’s Voting Rights division, and most recently as a legal policy intern with the Center for Progressive Reform. His hands-on experience working with various organizations dedicated to social justice, where he has contributed to campaigns and projects focused on voter rights, environmental justice, and economic empowerment, has only furthered his interest in working for social justice as an eventual attorney.

When not working, Grayson can be found exploring the Orlando food scene, attending local sports games, and seeing live music. Grayson has a mini-poodle with which he spends much of his free time training and playing.
