Great news: A federal court recently ruled to make it easier to vote in Ohio! And it gets better – the League of Women Voters of Ohio (LWVOH) is working hard to ensure that all Ohio voters are equipped with the information they need to vote.
Last month, a U.S. district court ruled to store early, in-person voting in Ohio on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday before prior to Election Day. The decision protects access to early voting, which is hugely popular in Ohio. Research shows early voting hours are crucial in helping to decrease wait times at the polls and ensuring that our elections system runs smoothly.
The League believes that voting should be easy as 1-2-3. In Ohio and elsewhere, state and local Leagues are responding to elections law changes of all kinds by providing voters with accurate, up-to-date voting resources and information. The League of Women Voters of Ohio’s (LWVOH) new voter education resources – aptly named “Voting 1-2-3” – educate and inform Ohioans about rules on early and absentee voting, the voter registration process, how to vote as a college student and more.
From your state’s voter registration deadlines to local voting rules, the League has got you covered. Find your local League for important updates on your state’s elections, or visit VOTE411.org, your "one-stop-shop" for election related information.
