The League is proud to be nonpartisan, neither supporting nor opposing candidates or political parties at any level of government. We remain committed to protecting every person’s freedom to vote. Founded in 1920, just six months before the 19th Amendment was ratified, we are comprised of more than 500,000 members and supporters across more than 750 local and state League chapters nationwide. The League focuses on advocacy, education, litigation, and organizing to achieve our mission to empower voters and defend democracy.  

We welcome the 118th Congress, and we look forward to this body getting to the important work of governing this great nation.
