The US Constitution establishes the authority of each branch of government to ensure a system of checks and balances. Congress’ daily inaction threatens the rule of law and our Constitution and greenlights the gross overreach that we are seeing by the executive branch. Americans’ liberties, the Constitution, and our democracy are at imminent risk.

Urge your members of Congress to stand up for our democracy this Lobby Day. You can:
- Call the DC offices of your Members of Congress in the House and Senate using our call script.
- Visit your Members’ offices in your state or district to drop off a League memo and one-pager, and let us know how it went here. Include your name and contact information on whatever you leave behind, so they know you are from the district. Congressional offices are usually open during regular business hours.
