(COCHISE, ARIZ.) - The Board of Supervisors in Cochise County, Arizona, voted on Monday to delay certifying this year's midterm election results, a clear violation of state law. The action jeopardizes the votes of tens of thousands of Arizonans and undermines the integrity of our democratic system, according to an amicus brief filed Wednesday by the League of Women Voters of Arizona, ACLU of Arizona, Arizona Democracy Resource Center, and Arizona Center for Empowerment. The groups are represented by Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, Brennan Center for Justice at NYU Law, and the law firms Latham & Watkins LLP and Spencer Fane in support of the plaintiffs in two cases, Hobbs v. Crosby et al., and Arizona Alliance of Retired Americans, Inc. et al. v. Crosby et al.

Today, Protect Democracy filed a lawsuit on behalf of the League of Women Voters of Arizona in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona in response to organizations and individuals who have conspired to intimidate voters in the 2022 election through “Operation Drop Box.”
PHOENIX — Today the Arizona Supreme Court dismissed a petition filed by the Arizona Republican Party that threatened to end all early voting. The case requested that the Court invalidate all early in-person and mail-in voting, which the state has had in some form for more than a century. The Supreme Court declined to hear the case without a factual record.
PHOENIX – Today, the League of Women Voters of Arizona filed an amicus brief in the Arizona Supreme Court in the matter of Arizona Republican Party v. Hobbs – a case that threatens to end all early voting in the state – and request that the Court dismiss the petition.
