The League of Women Voters of Kent urges Portage County residents to vote "For" Issues 1 and 2 on the November ballot.
Based on the League of Women Voters' health care position that every U.S. resident should have access to a basic level of care; that one of the goals of social policy in the U.S. should be to promote self-sufficiency for everyone; that states and local governments should have a role in framing health care programs; and that policies and programs should be supported that promote the well-being and full development of all children, the Kent League voted to support passage of Issues 1 and 2 for the Portage County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
