The League of Women Voters of the United States is pleased to announce a new leadership structure and executive team that will guide the organization into its second century.  
The Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in League of Women Voters of Indiana v. Sullivan (previously called Indiana NAACP v. Lawson) that Indiana’s purge law was inconsistent with the National Voter Registration Act.
We applaud President Biden for elevating the need for the For the People Act and we urge him to use the full weight of the presidency to see this bill become law.

On Sunday, June 20th, the League placed full-page ads in the Charleston Gazette-Mail and the Huntington-Herald Dispatch, alongside digital ads on the publications’ respective homepages, urging West Virginia senators to vote for the For the People Act.
